Jack Fogel is a designer and fabricator based in Oakland, CA who uses digital and analog fabrication methods to create prototypes, furniture, installations, and larger structures.
Born and raised in San Diego, Jack studied architecture and design fabrication at Carnegie Mellon University. Outside the classroom, he worked at Standard & Custom in Pittsburgh, using parametric design in custom fabrication projects.
He completed graduate studies at the Architecture Association's Design + Make program in the UK, engaging in experiments surrounding the collaboration of robotically machined timber joinery and non prescribed human assembly.
Jack is currently a Designer / Fabricator within the in-house workshop at David Baker Architects in Oakland, designing and building custom furniture and large scale installations for the communal spaces designed by David Baker Architects. In his free time, he likes to surf, hike and garden.
